Dangerous suspect arrested and in custody: St. Paul RCMP

St. Paul RCMP are reporting they have arrested Conrad Cardinal and is in custody.

The report came out just before 4:00pm on Saturday afternoon.

Cardinal was wanted since April 7 after a break-and-enter and suspected abduction of a 49-year-old woman.

The police said that a couple was assault and Corrine Steinhauer was taken in a stolen school bus by Cardinal.

Steinhauer was found safe the next morning, but Cardinal was still at-large for the next several days.

On Thursday, there was a shelter-in-place launched by RCMP for a few hours, but there is no confirmation that these situations were related.
