Walsh Field is again becoming the site of thieves and vandalism.

The Bonnyville Amateur Football Association, which maintains the football field and track, posted online on Tuesday night saying they were once again the victims of theft.

The incident happened around 4:48am on Tuesday, with at least two people involved.

Suspects took equipment, including a Zybek Timing System, two powered PA speakers, and five adjustable step hurdles. The value of these items is approximately $2500.

That area is used in warmer climes not just as the home of Bonnyville football operations, but also where track and field athletes practice, and occasionally soccer practices.

Frustrations boiled over last year when after repeated vandalism, BAFA official Kevin Sartain vociferously slammed how this volunteer-ran group is the target of vagrants and thieves.

On their Facebook, BAFA posted surveillance images captured from the incident.
