RhPAP to empower the next generation of health professionals in Two Hills on April 25.
Health professionals from Two Hills are gearing up to inspire students in Grades 10 through 12 through an interactive Let’s Go Rural! High School Event on Thursday, April 25.
Students from Two Hills School, Two Hills Mennonite School, & New Myrnam School are anticipated to attend the event at the Two Hills Centennial Hall where they will experience rural healthcare professionals through interactive activities such as airway management and starting injections, among others.
The event, organized by the Rural Health Professions Action Plan (RhPAP) in collaboration with the Two Hills Community Attraction & Retention Committee and local health professionals, aims to introduce students to career opportunities in rural healthcare.
Throughout the interactive day, students will engage in hands-on learning, guided by experienced rural health professionals, where they will gain insights into common healthcare activities.
Additionally, they will be able to have meaningful conversations with rural health professionals and explore various health-related careers in their communities, learn about the benefits of practicing in rural healthcare settings in comparison to urban centers and discover educational pathways for specific healthcare careers.
