In Loving Memory: Roderick Carey – Memento Funeral Chapel

With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of Roderick “Rod” James Duncan Carey of Ardmore, AB regretfully announce the passing of their beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the age of 85 years.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are Rod’s children: Jim (Thea) Carey, Rob (Kristina) Carey, Shannon (Brent) Laackmann; grandchildren: Rayel (Dean) Cardinal, Brittany (Brett) Rivard, Ty (Joanie) Carey, Justin (Leanne) Carey, Riley Carey, Cole Carey, Brody Laackmann, Cordell Laackman; treasured great grandchildren: Hunter, Emerence, Hudson, Colt, Callen, Dawson, Rori; brother: Duncan (Pat) Carey; sister-in-law: Pat Carey; brother-in-law: John Suvak and mother of his children: Margaret Carey; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Rod was predeceased by this parents: Duncan & Norah Carey; siblings: Mae Suvak, Lyle Carey, Michael Carey, Eva MacLennan; grandson: Jake Carey.

As per Rod’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
