GoA to spend $144K on Cold Lake Regional Airport study
The Cold Lake Regional Airport is getting supported with provincial dollars.
On Thursday morning, the Government of Alberta announced $144,000 for a feasibility study for airport certification to support scheduled air services.
The provincial pledge comes as part of a total of $1.13M focusing on regional airports.
Ten airports were listed, including the Lloydminster Municipal Airport, with just under $114,000 for a similar study but on commercial air services.
“Alberta’s aviation industry plays an important role in strengthening and diversifying our economy by expanding access to markets and creating jobs in the province,” said Devin Dreeshen, Minister of Transportation and Economic Corridors.
“Regional airports are key assets in supporting the air sector and the movement of people. This investment will support the growth of Alberta’s regional airports and help restore and develop connections between our regional and international airports.”
