TOWN OF BONNYVILLE 

PROPOSED LAND USE BYLAW AMENDMENT

BYLAW NO. 1565-24

 

The purpose of proposed Bylaw No. 1565-24 is to amend Schedule A from Bylaw No. 1399-13, the Planning and Development Service Fees of the Town of Bonnyville.

 

Under the authority and subject to the provisions of the Municipal Government Act and by virtue of all other powers enabling the Council of the Town of Bonnyville duly assembled enacts as follows:

 

  1. That Bylaw No. 1399-13, being the Planning and Development Service Fees Schedule A of the Town of Bonnyville, is hereby amended.

 

  1. That the Land Use Bylaw No. 1399-24 be amended as follows:

 

2.1 Portion of Schedule A fee schedule that is affected.

 

Sign Type                                                      Fee (Proposed)

Per application

Signage (all districts and types)

  • Permanent sign (Max. two (2) signs)
  • Fascia Sign on New Construction
  • Blade Sign 
  • Temporary Portable Signs (TPS)
    • One (1) Month Term
    • Three (3) Month Term
    • Six (6) Month Term

              Extensions for TPS

  • Month by Month extension
  • Three (3) month term ext.
  • Six (6) Month Term Extension

**Temporary Portable Signs are not removed within 3 days of the expiry date, a fine of $20/day will be applied.

  1. That this Bylaw shall come into force and effect on the date of final reading.

 

The public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. may inspect a copy of the proposed Bylaw, Monday to Friday, at the front desk of the Municipal Office (4917 – 49 Avenue) of the Town of Bonnyville. Inquiries respecting the proposed Bylaw may be made at this office by phoning 780-826-3496.

 

A Public Hearing has been set for Tuesday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m., at the Town Hall Council Chambers, to allow residents to speak either for or against the proposed bylaw.

 

Anyone claiming to be prejudicially affected by the passing of this bylaw shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard by Council either himself/herself or by his/her agent at the date and time shown above.  Those persons wishing to present written submissions to Council are requested to submit the submission to the undersigned in writing no later than 4:30 p.m., Wednesday April 17, 2024
