An early morning gun incident, believed to be a targeted event, has police in Cold Lake investigating looking for a suspect.

On Tuesday, April 2, between the hours of 4:00 a.m. to 4:30 a.m., Cold Lake RCMP responded to a report of a firearms complaint in the area of 54 Avenue and 56 Street in Cold Lake.

Police believe so far that someone fired a shotgun into the side of a vehicle. At the time of police arrival, no one was located within the vehicle or surrounding area and no injuries have been reported, RCMP said. 

Cold Lake RCMP advise the public that they believe this was a targeted occurrence and there is no danger to public safety at time.
