Once again, the Bonnyville Pontiacs are the only team with two players in the AJHL first team, this time it’s the Rookie Team.
Jack McAra and Dante Siciliano both were recognized in a league announcement on Wednesday.
This follow Luka Sukovic and JR Ashmead given first team nods on Tuesday.
Although not getting the ability to suit up during playoffs because of injury, McAra had a terrific rookie campaign, finishing 7th amongst rookie in points. The Burlington, Ontario native contributed 10 goals and 25 assists in 51 games, and finished with goal-scoring touch, potting five markers in his last nine contests.
Siciliano’s rookie season started strongly. The 2005-born defenceman quickly earned an NCAA commitment to Maine due to his strong play. While earning Rookie of the Year with the Pontiacs organization, Siciliano scored 10 goals and added 15 assists, tying fellow teammate Michael Ryan for most points as a rookie rearguard amongst the league.
