WATCH: Kalinski returns to Lakeland from Haiti with an incredible story, safe and sound

Barry Kalinski has returned home.

The Reeve of the M.D. of Bonnyville, trapped in Haiti for four weeks as part of his mission work in the chaotic country, arrived back in Canada on Monday.

It’s a story fit for a rescue movie, including the Captain Ray who flew in the Korean War and worked on the show MASH, to broken steering and brakes, to tense negotiations just to leave.

Whether it was Project Dynamo, a company that works in rescue mission across the world, to arriving in Florida through a fellow missionary’s connections with their government, it’s a story that is wild — made all the better by knowing that Kalinski was able to return safely after his continued work with Mission of Grace.
