The wrap-up to the hockey season has arrived with the biggest tournament of the year — Provincials.

Again, the Lakeland is well represented with various communities welcoming teams from all corners of Alberta to their communities.

In Mallaig, U18 Tier 3 action will get going on March 28th.

“For a lot of these kids, it’s their first time in Provincials,” said chair Laurier Feland. “It’s extra special for the kids that are graduating this year.”

Same goes for the U18 girls in St. Paul. U18 Tier 1 female will be right next door, starting today.

Cold Lake will play host to the U15 Female Tier 1 starting March 28. Mannville is also the site of U13 Tier 1.

Several local teams will travel to play in Provincials. One includes the Lakeland Panthers U15 AA team that won the NAHL league and go to Edmonton for their tournament.
