2024 TOWN OF BONNYVILLE CENSUS COORDINATOR 

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY 

CENSUS COORDINATOR:  Temporary Position – This is a critical, high priority project. Accurate population counts helps the Municipality better plan for community services. There may also be increased grant funding for the Town of Bonnyville available as some grants are based on a per capita basis. 

Employment:  April ‐ August, 2024 

Work Hours:  Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (some evenings and weekends as required) 

Job Description: 

Answering questions from residents about the municipal census. 

Providing support to census workers, including troubleshooting technology issues, training, or route navigation. 

Providing regular reports and updates to the Census Administrator. 

Undertaking quality assurance activities as required by legislation, including contacting enumerated residents to confirm accuracy of the census data collected. 

Phone call follow‐ups, house call follow‐ups, correspondence to be sent out for enumeration call‐backs (residents who could not be reached after 3 tries by enumerators). 

Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

Excellent oral and written communication skills 

Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license, and regular access and use of a vehicle Detail oriented 

Self‐motivated and self‐disciplined 

Pay: 

$19.38 per hour as per A.U.P.E. Union Agreement. 

Training: 

Census Administration Training – 2 weeks prior to May 1, 2024. 

Training on Town’s software for financial and document management systems as required.
