Last Updated: February 12, 2024By

It is with saddened hearts and much love that the family of Carol Loraine Rideout of Cold Lake, AB, announces her passing on Monday, February 5, 2024, at the age of 63 years, surrounded by her family.

Carol will be forever remembered and loved by her husband of 42 years: Boyd Rideout; children: Michelle (Mike) Hebert, Melissa (Dustin) Ruck; grandchildren: Hunter Ruck, Jack Hebert, Hayden Ruck, Brady Hebert, Avaleigh Ruck; sister: Linda (Rodney) Porter; brother-in-law: Barry (Vicky) Rideout; sister- in-law: Yolanda Rideout (Eric Jones); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Carol’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Whether she was camping at the family land, spending time back home in Newfoundland, or sitting around having a cup of tea with friends, Carol was happy. Nothing brought a bigger smile to her face than being surrounded by her grandchildren. Carol’s passions were knitting and crocheting, driving her mustang, and of course watching hockey. She was a lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan, but we never held that against her! Carol was a devoted Christian with the Salvation Army and spent many years of service during her time in Newfoundland.

Carol was predeceased by her parents: Baxter & Jessie Noftall; parents-in-law: Everett & Vera Rideout; brother-in-law: Bruce Rideout.

Service of Remembrance, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Gospel Centre, 4801-54 St., Bonnyville, Alberta with Pastor Dwayne Mitchell officiating.
