A hockey player from Bonnyville has been shipped to the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Ashton Cumby was dealt from the Wenatchee Wild to Seattle on Thursday afternoon, as one of several moves the club has pulled.
Wenatchee also sent Conor Geekie and Matthew Savoie, both first round NHL draft choices, for huge draft pick returns on Thursday.
Cumby has four assists and 57 penalty minutes while suiting up 38 times for the club.
This is the Wild’s first season in the WHL after the Winnipeg Ice relocated to the Washington city in the offseason.
The Bonnyville defender has played 95 WHL games.
