Coffee with a Cop pilot project Wednesday at A&W in St. Paul
A pilot project will see RCMP officers in St. Paul try to connect with residents in conversational ways.
RCMP officers are inviting you to join them at A&W located at 4241-50 Avenue in St. Paul on Wednesday, Dec. 20th, 2023 between 9:00–10:30am.
Officers are looking forward to sharing a coffee and having conversations with community members. The purpose of Coffee with a Cop is to bring police officers and the communities they serve together over a hot cup of java to discuss issues and learn more about each other.
“Coffee with a Cop brings police officers and the community together in a casual environment where they can discuss important issues and connect on a personal level,” said Sgt. Bobby Burgess, Operations NCO for the Town/County of the St. Paul RCMP.
“We are really looking forward to engaging with community members and hope to see you there. The best part is the coffee is on us, so come on out and let us buy you a coffee. We would also like to thank A&W for supporting this initiative and allowing us to meet at their restaurant.”
This is a three month pilot project that will be assessed to determine the interest from the public with hopes that it will continue monthly.
