St. Paul town council is expected to pass their annual budget on Monday.

The operating and capital budgets are “extremely tight” said Mayor Maureen Miller.

“As I’ve expressed before, our community is heavily weighted on a tax base from residential…when we do make tax implications, we know it weighs heavily on the residents. And so we take that extremely seriously,” Miller told Lakeland Connect.

“I realized that we were just not flush with money, that we can pass these earlier than actually the end of the day, because we use every last piece of information coming into that final years coming into these final months.”
