During the month of November, 2023, Vermilion RCMP responded to 256 calls for service. 

Of those, 197 were related to traffic/vehicle complaints, 42 were related to property crimes, 19 were traffic collisions, 10 were crimes against persons, and 12 were suspicious persons or vehicles. 

Of the property crimes, 10 were related to mischief, three were break and enters, seven were related to fraud, and two were stolen vehicles. 

In addition, eight calls related to persons involving mental health concerns and seven were related to spousal abuse.

During this period, Vermilion RCMP laid 94 charges including 39 criminal code and 55 provincial offences. 

One of the criminal charges was related to persons crimes, eight were related to property crime, three were related to firearms, 17 were related to failing to comply with conditions/court and 10 were other criminal code offences.

To report a crime or suspicious occurrence, please contact Vermilion Detachment during business hours at 780-853-4441 or after hours at 780-853-5781. Business hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday excluding stat holidays. 

If it is an emergency, you can also call 911. Non-emergent crimes can be reported via the Alberta RCMP App which is available through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
