Charges could result from three vehicle collision on Highway 660
Update
Alcohol is considered a factor and charges are pending relating to a three vehicle collision last night just outside of Bonnyville.
The incident happened on Monday evening at 9:11pm, where police were called to Highway 660 at Range Road 455.
Police say a pick-up truck traveling north on Range Road 455 failed to proceed safety into the intersection after stopping, and collided into an oncoming tanker truck. This caused another semi truck to lose control and jackknife into the ditch, Bonnyville RCMP said on Tuesday afternoon.
The driver of the pick-up truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and further transported to an Edmonton area hospital.
The driver and passenger of the tanker truck were assessed on scene for minor injuries. The third driver involved reported no injuries.
RCMP say they are continuing the investigation into the circumstances of the collision. Although early, alcohol is believed to be a factor and both provincial and criminal charges are pending.
