Charges laid with suspect linked to 5 break & enters

Bonnyville RCMP have recovered stolen property and laid charges following an investigation into a series of break and enters that occurred in the Town of Bonnyville.

Between October 18 and October 31, 2023,  Bonnyville  RCMP were dispatched to five break and enters to businesses in the Downtown core of Bonnyville. 

Police quickly identified, arresting and charge a suspect, who was believed to have acted alone in the break ins.

Christopher Lepine, 36-year-old, of Bonnyville was charged with:

• Break and enter (3x)
• Theft Under $5000
• Possession of property obtained by Crime
• Possession of break in tools
• Mischief to property
• Fail to comply  with release order x 4

Police say Lepine remains in custody.
