Lakeland Connect feeds a farmer during harvest

Published On: September 19, 2023By

The Lakeland’s farmers are quite busy at the moment.

Of course, it is harvest season, when our farmers are out collecting their yields and preparing them for market so we have a secure food supply.

Lakeland Connect decided to show support to one farmer by providing a meal and beverages thanks to Express Pizza Plus and Sonny’s Cold Beer and Liquor Store.

Lance Reszel, a St. Paul area farmer, was the recipient of this giveback.

“Everybody’s working hard. Harvest is a long go. We had great weather. And when everybody can stop for a little break it rejuvenates everybody. It’s very much appreciated,” said Reszel.

Reszel has always been farming and says he has a great crew and family to support the effort.

When Husband Chad visited, they were doing straight cut and wheat.

“You do it because you love it basically and everybody who farms knows that. You work your own hours and the best thing is we’ve had great weather. The grain is dry, the yields are very good. So we’re really lucky for this year.”
