ATCO fundraising BBQ for local food banks

ATCO is hosting a barbeque fundraiser at the Bonnyville Friendship Centre, a day of caring as part of their Employee Participating in Communities program.

On Tuesday, September 19th ATCO is hosting a fundraising barbeque from 11:00-1:00pm.

Dustin Boyce, Constructing Lead, Execution Planning and Estimating Electricity with ATCO said all proceeds and donations will go directly to the food bank.

“I think everyone is fairly aware that the food banks are not doing well right now,” said Boyce.

“So whatever funds are raised go directly to the food bank to hopefully get them a little bit of money right now that they can use.”

ATCO is donating all food, equipment and manpower to have a successful day.

“We’re gonna show up with a couple of barbecues and a couple of tents, we’ll have meat and a lot of burgers, that are all being donated for the event,” said Boyce.

ATCO’s overall EPIC campaign is running through till October 27th. All proceeds donated are going towards the local food banks in Bonnyville, St. Paul, Cold Lake and Smoky Lake.

“Employees donate time they donate money through various fundraising events that we hold internally. And then gets matched at 100% from the company,” said Boyce.

ATCO encourages you to come out on Tuesday to the Bonnyville Friendship Centre and help raise money for local food banks.
