One man, one teen, charged after serious stabbing in St. Paul

A man remains in serious condition in hospital after a stabbing in St. Paul.

At around 11:30am on Saturday, Sept. 2, police responded to a stabbing in front of Dollar Liquor on Main Street in St Paul. 

St. Paul RCMP found a man 23-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds, in serious life-threatening condition. 

The male was treated on scene by EMS after which time STARS transported him to an Edmonton hospital for urgent medical care where he remains in serious condition, police said. 

RCMP located two suspects shortly after the incident and they were arrested without incident, RCMP said.

All parties were known to each other and this was not a random attack.

Seth Shirt, 22, of Saddle Lake is facing two charges including Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and disobeying a court order.

He was released from custody on a $1000 promise to pay with his next court date set for Sept. 28th in St. Paul.

A 16 year-old Saddle Lake resident is also facing two charges including Aggravated assault and Obstruction. His name cannot be released due to his age. 

The youth was remanded into custody with his next court date set for Sept. 7th in St. Paul.
