Bonnyville teen named Ratchford Studio Next Top Model

A Bonnyville girl will get the opportunity to travel internationally in modeling competitions after being crowned the Ratchford Studio Next Top Model. 

Courtney Nielson, who was recently employed at Lakeland Connect, won this competition last Tuesday in Sydney, Nova Scotia. 

The 19-year-old also took home the Covergirl Award and Judge’s Choices. 

“It was my first time entering anything like this and I had the best experience,” she told Lakeland Connect. 

“It is so confidence boosting and really makes you show a side of yourself you didn’t think you had. I am so grateful to have been able to experience something like this and will definitely remember the night for years to come.” 

Nielson says she’s excited for the opportunities this will present, as she’s never left Canada before. 

She’ll also be touring the maritimes. 

But what the immediate future holds is schooling. Nielson is set to attend the College of Sports Media in Toronto.
