On August 16, 2023, Mr. Roger “Miller” Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 56 years.  He is survived by his 2 sons, Brent (Julie) Jackson & Brandon (Katrina) Cardinal; daughter, Treena Waskahat; 7 grandchildren, Faith, Rapheal, Malakai, Winter, Noah, Titus & Harlow; mother of his children, Bernice Jackson; 5 brothers, Ronald (Leona), Richard (Betty Ann), Lorne (Lena), Ira & Lonnie; 5 sisters, Marie (Lorne), Lorraine (Peter), Evelyn (Adelard), Sarah, Dora Snow; sister-in-law, Liz; numerous nieces & nephews.  Roger  was predeceased by his parents, Richard & Melanie Cardinal; brothers, David & George; sister, Doreen.  A Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 27  at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul, with Wake to follow (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.
