Vermilion RCMP released crime statistics from the month of July, which included a total of 261 calls for service.
Breakdown of files:
- 112 were related to traffic/vehicle complaints
- 46 were property crimes
- 18 were traffic collisions
- 15 were crimes against persons
- 8 were suspicious persons or vehicles.
These includes nine total break and enters, seven fraud investigations, and three stolen vehicles. Two of the break and enters saw local businesses broken into and the safe stolen, and police think that they could be the same culprits.
A total of 61 charges were laid with one of those being drug related, a charge of meth possession. Five of the criminal charges were related to persons crimes, five were related to property crimes, and 22 were related to failing to comply with conditions/court.
