Armed and dangerous suspect that caused Kikino shelter-in-place arrested

Formal charges have been laid by police in Lac La Biche after a shelter-in-place advisory advised Kikino residents to stay put at home as authorities looked to track down the suspect. 

Patrick Glynn faces a total of twelve charges. 

The situation happened on Tuesday. Lac La Biche RCMP told residents to stay home and lock their doors with a police operation underway to find an armed and dangerous suspect. 

The shelter in place was lifted hours later, but Glynn was not caught by police until Thursday. 

More details emerged on Friday by RCMP, relating to the charges, but none relating to a specific incident.  

Glynn faces charges of:

  • Assault with weapon
  • Uttering Threats (5 counts)
  • Resist Arrest (2 counts)
  • Mischief
  • Cause a disturbance
  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Fail to comply with probation

He was remanded into custody to appear in Alberta Court of Justice Monday, July 31.
