Series of fires between Anzac and Lac La Biche deliberately set
Provincial Wildfire and Forestry officials are investigating a series of fires that they have deemed deliberately set.
The Alberta RCMP Forestry Crime Unit, in collaboration with Alberta Wildfire, is investigating several fires between April 22 and May 22, along Highway 881, between Anzac and Lac La Biche.
All fires were quickly contained without the loss of structures in the area, officials say, but their determined that these fires were set deliberately.
While the RCMP continues to investigate these occurrences, they ask for the public’s assistance to report any suspicious activity during this time period.
