On July 3, 2023, Mrs. Valerie Pasquayak of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 60 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Earl; children, Joshalyn Brighteyes (Fredrick Quinney), Daryl Jackson, Roberta (Jamie) Cardinal, Lyle Whiskeyjack (Paula Hunter) & Roy Wychowsky; 11 grandchildren, Dylan, Cassie, Isley, Maci, Tate, Shelby, Shantal, Brooke, Steven, Samuel & Lyla; 3 great-grandchildren, Miley, Matty & Blakely; mother, Rita Steinhauer; siblings, Joyce (Curtis) Gladue, James (Cathy) Steinhauer, Vernon Steinhauer, Calvin (Leslie) Steinhauer, Andrea (David) Sparklingeyes & Marshall Steinhauer; mother-in-law, Emelia Pasquayak; brothers- & sisters-in-law, Darryl, Dwayne, Roxanne, Joanne, Bev & Kyle (Alex); best friend, Irene Quinney; favorite auntie, Lavina Thomas; numerous nieces & nephews; all of her bingo friends.

Valerie was predeceased by her dad, Herman Steinhauer; siblings, Charlene, Gilbert, Koren & Robert; niece, Rhonda; nephews, Brent & Ryan; grandparents, Harisson & Marie Steinhauer, Lloyd & Emma Cardinal; father-in-law, Albert Pasquayak.

A Wake will be held on Sunday, July 9 (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Pastor Mavis Giant will be officiating, with interment in United Church Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
