On July 1, 2023, Mrs. Mary “Douse” Potts of Maskwacis, formerly of Saddle Lake & Goodfish Lake, passed away at the age of 63 years.

She is survived by her husband, Glen; children, Billy (Leslie), Vanessa, Mandy & stepchildren; grandchildren, Allen (Marissa), Ayla, Kaylin, Angel, Taylor, Percy, Tianna, Tristan, Tyrese, Corinna, Georgia, Tia, Briana, Miya & Billy Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kingsley, Kabry, Cashton, James, Kataya & Chokecherry; sisters, Bertha (Barry) McCallum, Dale Berard & Violet Jackson; maternal aunties, Lillian (Prosper) Delver, Lavina Delver & Betsy Jackson; uncle, Charlie Jackson; numerous nieces & nephews; family & friends from Kikino, Goodfish Lake & Saddle Lake.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Grant Cardinal; parents, Tony & Elizabeth Berard; siblings, Velma, Shirley, Leonard, Danny & Oscar Berard; grandson, Ashton Cardinal & 2 in infancy; numerous relatives.

A Wake will be held on Wednesday, July 5 (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake. Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake, led by Elders, with interment in Reed Lake Cemetery, Goodfish Lake.
