On June 22, 2023, Ms. Eleysa Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 75 years.
She is survived by her son, Shane Cardinal; 6 grandchildren, Dylan, Jordan, Brendon, Daniel, Daniella & Shania; 5 sisters & 3 brothers, Mary Brertton, Willard (Leona) Amahoose, Joe (Lorraine) Amahoose, Lena Amahoose, Homer Amahoose, Bernice Amahoose (Gary Lameman), Doris Amahoose & Arlene Leroux (Lloyd Nipshank); numerous nieces, nephews, family & friends.
Eleysa was predeceased by her parents, James & Delphine Amahoose; children, Deanna, Jamie, Fabian & Adrian; brother, Norman Amahoose; & spouse, Phillip Cardinal.
A Wake will be held on Wednesday, June 28 (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Pastor Kevin Amahoose will be officiating, with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
