A man has been arrested following being caught in the act during a break and enter.
St. Paul RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress at a rural address on Range Road 115 near Township Road 594 at around 7:30pm on Sunday, June 4.
Police said that a quick response led to catching the perpetrator in the building.
James Brertton, 53, of Saddle Lake, has been charged with Breaking and Entering, Possession of Break-in instruments, and Mischief over $5000.
RCMP say at the time of his arrest, Brertton was wanted on numerous outstanding warrants including six counts of Break and Enter, six counts of Mischief over $5000, Resist/Obstruct Peace officer, and Failing to Attend Court.
Brertton was remanded into custody after a Judicial Interim Release hearing. He is scheduled to appear on Thursday, June 22.
