On June 4, 2023, Mr. Dusty Ray McGilvery of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 44 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Chrisy Ann; children, Rowena Steinhauer, Landon & Kaleel; 2 grandchildren, Roper Ray Large & Lyric; adopted children, Thomas Sanderson, Blake Jackson, Darcy Cardinal Jr., Clinton Brertton (Cree-Lee White), Shane Quinney, Thomas “T-Bear” Makokis, Larissa Jackson (Cody Cryer), Bryce Quinn, Shaneo Shirt, Shalyra Moosewah & Kirsten Brertton (Rudy Benjamin); numerous adopted grandchildren; father, Lyman; mother, Cindy; 4 sisters, Misty, Larissa Crane, Janice (Huey) Makokis & Chrissey Moosewah (Larry Berard); God-sister, Samantha Mason; Kokom, Gloria Moosewah; aunties, Cora Houle, Eva (Dennis) Moosewah, Linda Makokis & Delia Brertton; uncles, Leo (Priscilla), Robert (Gloria), Ovide, Bruce, Buddy (Velma White) & Samuel; numerous nieces & nephews, aunties & uncles.

Dusty was predeceased by his niece, Tara-Jean Cardinal; grandparents, Joe & Maggie Moosewah, Louis & Emma McGilvery

A Wake will be held on Wednesday (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) & Thursday, June 14 & 15 at Lyman McGilvery’s Residence, Saddle Lake. A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 16 at 12:00 p.m. at Lyman McGilvery’s Residence, Saddle Lake. Elders will be officiating, with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
