Driving Carelessly violation amongst others follows collision on HWY 41 & HWY 660
A serious vehicle collision just outside of Bonnyville last week saw a man charged with multiple traffic violations as a woman was airlifted to hospital.
On Friday, June 2 at 3:00 pm, the Bonnyville RCMP were dispatched to a serious two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 41 and Highway 660.
Bonnyville RCMP released more information today, Friday, June 9. Police said their investigation reveals the driver of a 2014 Ford Mustang was at fault for the collision, which saw one female passenger airlifted to an Edmonton area hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The 62-year-old driver from Edmonton was charged under the Traffic Safety Act for Driving Carelessly which carries a fine of $567.
He was further issued violation tickets for Driving at an Unreasonable Speed ($243 fine) and Failing to Stop at a Stop Sign ($405 fine).
Police did not comment on the status of the woman’s injuries.
