Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Lakeland region.

An extended period of hot and dry conditions will begin this weekend. The highest temperatures are expected from Sunday through Tuesday.

 

Maximum daytime highs will be close to 30 degrees which would be 10 to 15 degrees above seasonal values.

 

With elevated temperatures, the risk of heat related illnesses will increase.
