In Loving Memory: William “Bill” George Swiderski – Memento Funeral Chapel

With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of William “Bill” George Swiderski of Bonnyville, Alberta announces the peaceful passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the age of 93 years.
Bill was born in 1929, at LeGoff, the son of Polish immigrants. He began his farming career in 1950, with a small herd of two cows and two horses, on 160 acres. He married Rina, an elementary school teacher, in April of 1962. This April, they would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. They were blessed with five daughters who grew up and helped on a 4000 acre farm which included a large cattle herd and grain operation. Bill made sure all of his girls could do anything and everything on the farm. Moreover, he instilled in them the love of learning, community responsibility and leadership. All of his daughters received post-secondary educations and continue to follow their father’s example, participating in various aspects of the community.

Bill will be forever loved by his wife of 60 years: Rina Swiderski of Bonnyville; five daughters: Yvonne (Basil) Churko, Annette Swiderski, Monique (Dave) Kufeldt, Tina (Greg) Sawchuk, Michelle (Andreas) Wessler; twelve grandchildren: Robin (Jessica), Maeghan, Jerad (Jaclynne), Christina (Aaron), Steven, Rachel, Rebekah, Adam, Naomi, Cora, Verena, Ari; five great grandchildren: Aiden, Dylan, Paige, Maria, Anna; as well as numerous nieces, nephews & other relatives and close friends.

Bill was predeceased by his parents: Walter & Rosalia Swiderski; three brothers: Raymond (Mary), Charles (Joyce) & John Swiderski.

Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo as celebrant. Pallbearers: Basil Churko, Dave Kufeldt, Greg Sawchuk, Robin Swiderski, Jerad Churko, Steven Sawchuk. A private interment service will take place at St. Peter & St. Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Alexander, Alberta. Everyone is welcome to join family and friends for a luncheon at Alexander Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in memory of Bill may be sent to Bonnyville Health Foundation, c/o Long Term Care, Bag 1008, 5001 Lakeshore Drive, Bonnyville, AB T9N 2J7.
