Housekeeper / FCSS Home Support Worker

Are you interested in a casual position to help support seniors and the physically challenged in our community? Are you able to do light housekeeping and visit clients? The Town of Bonnyville Family Community Support Services is looking for a Casual Housekeeper / FCSS Support Worker in the Town of Bonnyville and M.D. of Bonnyville No. 87. The position requires for a Casual In-Home Support Worker to provide light housekeeping for seniors and physically challenged persons within the Town and M.D. of Bonnyville and to coordinate and track the same.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license and own transportation.
• RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check.
• English speaking is a requirement, and a second language is an asset.
• First aid required (will be provided if necessary).
• Applicant must be physically able to perform light housekeeping tasks, including stairs, lifting weight up to 10kg, reaching, and bending. Any physical limitations must be known prior to hiring.

Position Details:
This position’s duties will include a variety of light housekeeping, such as sanitizing common touch surfaces, limited laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning dishes, and other similar tasks. The candidate will also be encouraged to engage in brief friendly visits with the clients. The candidate will coordinate the housekeeping with the clients in question and track their services for grant reporting.

The base rate is $29.35 per hour. This is a 700-hour contract position with the possibility of extension based on budgetary constraints. The scheduling can be flexible to work with staff to find times and areas that work with you, the Community Services Director, and the housekeeping clients up to 35 hours per week. Mileage will be paid based on the Town of Bonnyville mileage reimbursement policies.
