Frog Lake First Nations sent out an alert that while there isn’t a lockdown, it is recommended residents stay home for the time being.
The notice went up around 7:00pm.
Lakeland Connect reported at around 6:35pm that Highway 897 was shut down. Motorists are being redirected at the north end of the nation.
“For your safety, it is recommended you stay home and off the highway. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter,” the post said.
