Cecile is lovingly survived by her children: Harvey Bernard, Caroline Bernard; step-children: Ronald Jackson, Mary Anne Jackson; son-in-law: Mark Pelletier; grandchildren: Mark Jr. Pelletier, Jacob Pelletier, Kevin Bernard, Shayden Bernard, Sheldon Bernard, Sheriden Bernard, Michael Bernard, Chyanne Bernard (Cody Nutbrown), Heather Bernard, Nicholas Bernard, Samuel Bernard, Kris Jones, Alexander Jones, Chance Jones; cherished great grandchildren: Kendra Bernard, Elijah Bernard, Marie Pelletier, Rose-Lynn Bunnie, Waylon Nutbrown; siblings: Nelson Bernard, Sylvia Whitefish, Mary Senger, Eunice Thompson, Muriel Beaudreau, Georgina (George) Halfe, Larson (Debbie) Houle, Margaret Houle, Louisa Collins; brother-in-law: Alfred Jackson; sisters-in-law: Myrtle Houle, Gusse Houle; former common law & special friend: Samuel Jackson; furry friend: Junior Bernard; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Cecile was predeceased by her children: Edna Bernard, Samuel Bernard, Josie Bernard; parents: Norman Jackson & Edna Bernard; siblings: David Bernard, Irene Whitford, Roland Bernard, Sam Bernard, Laurie Bernard, Denis Houle, baby Paul & Cornelia.

Wake, Monday, March 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake, Alberta, leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, St. Paul, Alberta at 12:00 p.m.

Funeral Service, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake, Alberta with Pastor Linda Burns officiating and Muskwa “Ernest” Houle & Georgina Halfe as Emcees. Pallbearers: Dean Whitefish, Aaron Whitefish, Anthony Whitford, Muskwa Houle, Eli Whitford, Nicholas Bernard; honorary pallbearers: Neil Whitefish, Rennie Houle, Sylvia Whitefish, Carol Whitefish, Dale Whitefish, Nelson Bernard, Mary Senger, Myrtle Houle, Samuel Jackson, Larson Houle, Doreen Makokis, James “Punky” Jackson, Josephine Watchmaker, and all of Cecile’s friends and family who held a special place in her heart.
