Olivia and Noah most popular newborn names in Alberta in 2022

The province’s top baby names have been released and Olivia and Noah are again the most popular names for newborns.

Olivia has held the top spot since 2013 for baby girls, while Noah is the most popular boys name for the fourth straight year.

There were 48,225 births registered in Alberta in 2022 and 12,966 different names registered.

Sophia, Emma, Amelia and Harper round out the most popular girls names. Liam, Theodore, Oliver and Jack are top-5 boys names in the province as well.
