UPDATE: Man arrested after committing life threatening stabbing

UPDATE: Feb. 23. Cold Lake RCMP said they have located and arrested Tealyn Jason Marten and thank the public for the assistance.

Two were charged with aggravated assault after a stabbing in Cold Lake and RCMP is seeking assistance in locating one of the suspects. 

Cold Lake RCMP received a complaint of a stabbing on Jan. 23, 2023, two males, one in their mid-twenties and one in their mid-thirties suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to an Edmonton hospital. 

Tealyn Jason Marten (23), a resident of Cold Lake First Nation, has been charged with aggravated assault, break and enter with intent, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Marten is on outstanding warrants for these offences, and RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating him. 

Daidien Jewel Desjarlais (22), also a Cold Lake First Nation resident, has been charged with aggravated assault, break and enter with intent, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. 

Desjarlais appeared in front of a judge and was remanded in custody.
