Beaver River Fish and Game host 34th Annual Award Banquet

The Beaver River Fish and Game Association held their 34th Annual Awards Banquet over the weekend. 

The event sold out with over 250 guests in attendance, with the U14 Rhino’s Volleyball team who served guests their meals. 

Youth got their own chances at winning prizes with not only a youth award category but, youth had their own raffle tables.

“Everything we make here will fund our year, sponsors, volunteers, and donations all make this come together, it is a team effort,” said Noella Williams, Treasurer for the Beaver River Fish and Game Club.

“Volunteers serve the supper and a donation will be made to the club for their help, we also have a group of ladies in the kitchen making the meal that volunteer as well, we will make a donation to Comfort Quilts, one of the ladies makes quilts and donates them to people with cancer.” 

The event didn’t just serve an in house cooked meal, but also pie auctions that went for as much as $425, live and silent auctions, and then the award ceremony closing with a dance. 

The events awards consisted of photography awards, fishing awards, hunting awards, and then the masters of each category. 

Hailey Lobe cleaned up with four awards in the youth category and took home the Master Hunter title. Hunting a White Tail that was 147″ 0/8.

Ian Karba another youth who swept the fishing category with three awards, one being a 105cm Northern Pike.

Clinton Willams took home the Master Archer award along with his three other hunting awards for just hunting with a bow, hunting down a White Tail that was 147″ 4/8.

And Lenore Fersovich took the Master Fisher award along with two other fishing awards such as catching a 65cm Walleye.
