It is with saddened hearts that the family of John Welecki announces his passing on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the age of 88 years.

John will be forever remembered and loved by his children: Danny Welecki, Andrew Welecki, Irene Welecki (Carry Grant), Helen (Ken) Gelety all of Bonnyville, AB; grandchildren: Rebecca Kostyshyn (Ryan Peacock), Amanda Kostyshyn (Kris Hatton), Nicole Coats, Jordan Gelety (Paige Turner); great grandchildren: Hailey, Aris, Zenna; sister-in-law: Stephanie (Patrick) Joyce.

John was predeceased by his wife: Mary Welecki (August 1, 2022); infant daughter: Anna Welecka (Feb. 27, 1961); parents: Mikolaj Welecki (July 11, 1971) & Anna Welecki (September 9, 1984); three brothers: Michal Welecki (November 2, 1994), Piotr Welecki (July 30, 2007), Stefan Welecki (January 27, 2023); three infant sisters.

Visitation, Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, AB.

Funeral Service, Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., St. John’s United Church, Bonnyville, AB with interment to follow at St. John’s United Church Cemetery, Bonnyville, AB.
