It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Delia Lessard of Fort Kent, Alberta announces the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the age of 84 years.
Delia is lovingly survived by her three sons: Denis Lessard, Darren Lessard, Wayne (Yvette) Lessard all of Fort Kent, AB; five daughters: Bernice (Lyle) Hopf of Fort Kent, AB, Hilda Lessard (John Plouffe) of Bonnyville, AB, Jeanette Lessard of Fort Kent, AB, Vivianne (Roland) Senecal of Fort Kent, AB, Linda (Dennis) Dutertre of Bonnyville, AB; eleven grandchildren: Dwayne, Denise (Travis), Jeryn (Lindsey), Kelsey, Kaylyn, Tristen, Dylan, Jayden, Shaylene (Derek), Dawson, Rylan; fourteen cherished great grandchildren: Brennan, Chance, Kaden, Sienna, Chelsey, Mairyn, Peighton, Carson, Sawyer, Lennox, Hazen, Caleb, Makinley, Kelisha; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Delia was predeceased by her husband: Louis Lessard (2014); parents: Clement (1976) & Mary-Rose Smallface (1988); grandson: Levi Lessard (2020); two sisters: Agnes Anderson (2001), Caroline Anderson (2015); brother: Morris Smallface; adopted brother: Charlie Smallface (2000).
Public Visitation, Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, AB.
Funeral Service, Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. (Eulogy will begin at 10:50 a.m.), St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, AB with Father Rene Realuyo officiating. Pallbearers: Denis Lessard, Darren Lessard, Wayne Lessard, Dawson Dutertre, Tristen Senecal, Jeryn Lessard, Kelsey Lessard, Jayden Lessard. Honorary Pallbearers: Delia’s five daughters, and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Final Resting place, St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fort Kent, AB.
