Bonnyville RCMP search for information on break and enters, vehicle thefts

Bonnyville RCMP are investigating a series on unrelated break and enters and vehicle thefts over the past two weeks.

Break & Enters:

  • The Bonnyville RCMP received a report that sometime between December 30 and January 2, someone broke into numerous mail boxes and parcel boxes situated on the 4700 block of 45 Avenue and various mail and parcels were stolen.
  • On January 9th the Bonnyville RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a seasonal residence in the area of Township 612 and Range Road 482.  Culprit(s) ransacked it and damaged property.
  • On January 10th the Bonnyville RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a trailer in the 5500 block of 55 Street where various items were stolen.
  • On January 12th at 5:00 AM a shop at a residential property on the 4400 block of 49 Ave was broken into.

Vehicle Thefts:

  • Sometime overnight on January 7th a Ford F350 was stolen from a rural residence near Township Rd 605 and Range Road 470.  Before the owner even realized it was stolen he received a call from the Elk Point RCMP who had recovered his truck at the junction of Highway 41 and Highway 29 burnt.
  • On January 10th at 4:00 AM a customer went into a 24-hour convenience store / gas station and left his truck running, unlocked with keys inside.  When he came backout a few minutes later his white Ford F150 was gone.  The truck was located later in the day by MD Peace Officers on a rural road in the MD.
  • The Bonnyville RCMP received a report from a truck owner that his 2017 Burgandy Dodge Truck was stolen sometime overnight January 9th. There were no keys in the truck.

These outstanding matters remain under investigation and if anyone has information regarding any of these crimes they are urged to call the Bonnyville RCMP or call Crimestoppers.
