Woman brandishing machete at 7-Eleven arrested by Cold Lake RCMP

A Cold Lake woman is facing charges after she was seen with a weapon at a convenience store.

Police were called to 7-Eleven in Cold Lake just past 1:00am on Sunday, Jan. 8, after receiving that a female was brandishing a machete at the 7-11 in Cold Lake.

Mounties went to the scene found and arrested a 31 year old female from Cold Lake.

Danielle Charland was charged with assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats.

Police said she was held for a bail hearing and later released on court compelling documents.

Her first court date is scheduled for Feb. 8.
