Wainwright RCMP charge Brick employee with theft
On Aug. 10, 2022, Wainwright RCMP received a complaint of missing money from the Brick Warehouse business account. The money went missing in multiple fraudulent transactions between Aug. 2020 and Aug. 2022.
On Dec. 4, 2022, Joanna Rae (37), a resident of Wainwright, was arrested. She has been charged with the following offences:
- Theft over $5000.00
- Forgery, Use/Traffic money over $5000.00
- Fraud over $5000.00
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.00
- Trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5000.00
Rae was held for a Judicial Interim hearing and was released from custody on a $1000 no cash release order. Her next court appearance is Jan. 19, 2023 at Wainwright Provincial Court.
