The Cold Lake Ice break their five game slide after beating the Lloydminster Bandits, 5-3 last Saturday.

The Ice played hard in the Civic Centre over the weekend to begin their win streak with five different goal scorers.

Only after five minutes of play Cold Lake #7 Dawson Cook put it in the back of the net to get them up by one.

Not even a full two minutes of play before the Ice struck again ending the first in a two goal lead.

The Bandits Attempt the lead

Bandits push into action with two back to back goals, both teams in battle for a third goal.

Yet Cold Lake scored on the power play in the final minutes of play ending the second with a one goal lead.

The final push

Cold Lake wanting to seal in the win took the power play to their advantage #3 Carter Breen gets the power play goal, but it’s not the end yet when #24 Brandin Berezniuk now has them up by three.

Lloyd fell short of time, only being able to put one more in the back of the net before the buzzer went.

Cold Lake now sits 4-10-1 and sixth in the league.

The Ice are scheduled to play the Onion Lake Border Chiefs on home ice Dec. 9 in hopes to break their five at home game loss streak in the Imperial Oil Place in the Cold Lake Energy Centre.
