Canadiens face an overtime loss to the Lloydminster Bandits, then regain themselves after defeating the Killam Wheat Kings.

The Canadiens faced the Bandits last Friday on home ice but the Bandits were first to score in OT ending the game 4-3.

The Canadiens without their full lineup due to suspensions and injuries fought the first by killing three consecutive Bandit power plays. 

They are the number one team for penalty kills in the NEAJBHL.

Teams exchange goals 

During the second, in three minutes the Canadiens put one in the back of the net first but the Bandits retaliated fast keeping it anyone’s game. 

Canadiens pushing to end the second with a lead succeed when #17 Lucas Martin bypasses the Bandits goalie. 

“We are doing the basics, putting the pucks down deep,” Canadiens #22 Liam Boyko said in the second intermission.

Both teams went back and forth in goals, yet still ended in a 3-3 tie.

Overtime went on for five minutes before Bandits #18 Jayden Plamondon scored the winning goal for his team. 

“We came out of the gates slow,” said Canadiens coach Corey deMossiac. 

Canadiens get revenge on Killam 4-2 

Back at the Clancy Arena for their second game of the weekend, the Canadiens and Killam Wheat Kings faced off. 

Canadiens Willam Chemago #18 makes his appearance known after facing a game suspension by scoring two back to back goals in the first. 

Canadiens kept the goal streak alive when Liam Boyko put them up 3-1. 

In the final, Canadiens down a man trying to kill the Killam powerplay, Canadiens #14 Isaak Watters finds the back of the net once again with an unassisted goal. 

Watters is still holding fifth place in league scoring. 

Canadiens after the weekend still holding on to first place with 13-2-2. 

The Clancy Arena will be filled again on Dec. 9 when the Canadiens take on the second place team in the league, the Vermilion Tigers.
