Three people face various charges after stolen vehicle found

Three people are facing over 25 charges after a stolen vehicle investigation.

On Tuesday, Nov. 22, just past 9:00pm, Cold Lake RCMP got information on where a stolen vehicle was. It was originally stolen from a residence on Cold Lake First Nations the day before.

Police went to CLFN and found the vehicle, which attempted to flee but got stuck in a field.

Two were arrested without incident and a third fled into the bush, possibly with a firearm, police said. 

The one who fled was later found with the assistance of Cold Lake Police Dog Services and Emergency Response Team members.

RCMP said they found firearms inside the vehicle.

Danielle Billette, 35, faces a total of 10 charges which includes various firearms related offences, failing to comply with release order, and possession of stolen property over $5000. 

Robert Cardinal, 38, faces eight charges includes firearms related offences, failing to comply with release order, and possession of stolen property over $5000.

Myles Lajimodiere, 36, also faces firearms related offences, possession of stolen property over $5000, flight from police, operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited and resist/obstruct arrest.

All three individuals were held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.
