From the time the snow started falling this week, there have been seven motor vehicle collisions reported in the Bonnyville area, according to the Bonnyville RCMP.
While most have been non-serious, police would like to remind motorists to take precautions.
“Give yourself more time to travel to your destination, allow for sufficient time and space between yourself and the vehicle in front of you and to ensure you have adequate tires for winter roads,” said S/Sgt. Sarah Parke.
Three incidents of impaired driving were reported since Oct. 28 as well, with one crashing his pickup truck into a parked Caterpillar excavator.
He exited the vehicle and left the scene on foot.
A 33-year-old male from Bonnyville is charged with impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
