RCMP report 15-year-old unconscious on the road after vehicle fled collision

Update: The original provincewide release said the incident happened at 4:57am. That is incorrect, the incident happened at 4:57pm. 

RCMP are looking for suspects as a vehicle failed to remain at the scene of a collision where a 15-year-old was injured.

The incident happened early Monday morning just before 5:00pm. Cold Lake RCMP responded with emergency services near Highway 28 and 43rd Avenue, near McDonalds.

A 15-year-old was laying on the street unconscious after a collision, police say, and was taken to hospital where they sustained non-life threatening injuries. 

The vehicle suspected to have caused the collision, a white 2022 Ford F150 Platinum edition truck with Alberta Licence plate CKH0443, left the scene and was found abandoned by Mounties near the location of the accident, RCMP say.
